LumaTutor student accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

Students sign in with a student code and PIN created by the parent. Students do not create independent public accounts.

We may collect a child's name, grade, birth month and year when provided, English level, learning goals, student code, PIN hash, session records, answers, writing, notes, highlights, saved words, scores, feedback, and usage logs.

We collect this information to provide tutoring, track progress, help parents manage learning, improve service reliability, and protect account security.

Before creating a student profile, the parent must confirm consent for LumaTutor to collect and use the child's information as described in this notice.

We record the consent version, timestamp, parent account, student profile, IP address, and browser user agent for audit purposes.

To provide tutoring, LumaTutor may send relevant passage text, prompts, student responses, writing, notes, and context to AI providers.

We use this processing to generate feedback, scoring, hints, vocabulary explanations, and safety checks.

Provider data retention and training settings should be reviewed before broad public launch and whenever providers change.

Parents can review child profiles, learning sessions, scores, saved words, and account settings in the parent portal.

Parents can update child profile details, reset student PINs, disable student login, or contact support for data questions.

We do not sell children's personal information.

We share child information only with service providers needed to operate LumaTutor, process tutoring requests, secure accounts, support the product, or comply with legal obligations.

We keep child learning records as needed to provide progress history, support parent review, maintain billing and audit integrity, and improve service reliability.
