We collect student profile information provided by parents, such as name, grade, birth month and year when provided, learning level, goals, student code, and PIN hash.

We collect learning data such as assigned passages, session progress, student answers, writing responses, highlights, notes, saved words, scores, AI feedback, and usage logs.

We collect payment and billing records from Stripe, including checkout status, amount, tax, currency, receipt links, and payment identifiers. We do not store full card numbers.

We collect technical data such as IP address, browser user agent, security logs, error logs, and service usage events.

We use information to operate LumaTutor, authenticate users, provide tutoring features, generate feedback, manage credits, process payments, send transactional emails, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support parents and students.

We may use aggregated or de-identified data to understand product quality, pricing, and learning outcomes.

LumaTutor may send relevant learning content, student responses, and context to AI providers to generate tutoring feedback, scoring, writing review, vocabulary help, and safety checks.

We also use service providers for hosting, database infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, logging, and security.

Provider data retention and training terms should be reviewed before broad public launch and whenever providers change.

We do not sell personal information.

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect users, process payments, send emails, or troubleshoot support issues.

Parents can see information related to their own family account and child profiles.

We use technical and organizational safeguards such as hashed passwords and PINs, role-based access controls, HTTPS, audit logs, and restricted admin access.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please keep account credentials and student PINs secure.

We keep account, billing, credit, audit, and learning records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect service integrity.

Parents may request help with account closure or data questions by contacting support.

Parents can update account language, child profile details, student PINs, and some learning settings in the parent portal.

Parents can contact support to ask about access, correction, deletion, or account closure requests.
